Lee started her legal career in 1998 in Tennessee. After the birth of her first child, she began practicing yoga to help her stay fit and manage the stress of balancing work and family responsibilities.
In 2006, her husband took an overseas position with the U.S. State Department. Lee was at first reluctant to leave her firm, but her desire to have a second child led her to take a giant step and relocate to Poland.
While living in Warsaw, Lee began planning her return to the legal workforce. This would ultimately take her to India, where she essentially started over in a part-time position with an international legal outsourcing provider.
In addition to finding a new career, her time overseas allowed her to deepen her yoga practice with exposure to several classical yoga teachers in India.
In 2017, she left her prior job as COO and Director of Legal Services at a legal process outsourcing company to finish her first book, Lifestyle Lawyer. Lee Holcomb coined the term Lifestyle Lawyer “to identify attorneys who value their law degrees but have figured out how to make their legal careers inspiring and meaningful and how to incorporate those careers into their lives as a whole.”
In everything she does, this artist turned attorney works to educate and empower female attorneys and aspiring attorneys to create a career path that matches the creative forces in each of them and shape a career suited to the lifestyle they want.
